GOP Official Strongarms Missouri Delegate Selection

In another Reality Check episode, Ben Swann takes a look at how a GOP official this past Saturday torpedoed the selection of delegates in St. Charles, Missouri, breaking the party's own rules.

The reason for the official's outrageous actions? He didn't want Ron Paul to get a lot of delegates.

This is similar to what happened at the Hawaii 2008 Republican state convention, when Senator Fred Hemmings was vociferous in his opposition to Ron Paul. The party flew in people from the mainland and changed its rules to make sure Ron Paul didn't get any delegates to the national convention. They succeeded.

Aired Wednesday, March 21, 2012.
