David Frum Attacks Ron Paul

And gets Senator Rand Paul (R) for being his son.

The Daily Beast's David Frum makes it clear he does not like former Congressman Ron Paul (R) and doesn't care much for his son Senator Rand Paul (R) either.

In an article entitled "Rand Paul's Biggest Liability: His Dad," Frum writes,

Ron Paul's been drawing negative publicity recently. Well, that's the down-side of filling the board of your new think tank with conspiracy theorists, anti-semites, and authors of racist newsletters. [David Frum, The Daily Beast]

On the plus side, however, Iran's Press TV still has nice things to say about the former Texas member of Congress and Republican presidential contender. An op-ed today by regular Press TV contributor Gordon Duff leaps to Paul's defense. [Frum]

A little investigation shows that David Frum is Jewish and The Daily Beast is Jewish owned. He was originally from Canada and served on the Canada-Israel Committee. After he emigrated to the U.S. he became an AIPAC member and a speechwriter for President George W. Bush. He is on the board of directors of the Republican Jewish Coalition.

Ron Paul thinks that foreign countries should stand on their own two feet and U.S. taxpayers should not be shelling out for foreign aid. When asked, he said that includes Israel. Frum is on record (44:40 mark) as advocating foreign aid to Israel.
