Wreaths at Punchbowl National Cemetery

For the first time, the Wreaths across America campaign has come to Punchbowl Cemetery (officially known as the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific) on a large scale. The custom began with wreath laying at America's historic Arlington National Cemetery in 1992 to honor our war dead, spreading from that beginning across the U.S. and to cemeteries overseas.

While in previous years five wreaths were donated to Punchbowl during the Christmas season, this year 1,288 wreaths were placed in the center portion of the cemetery.
